Hello! Welcome to my website. I am your photographer, Stephanie Hellmann. I have been photographing the people and the world around me since I was in Jr. High school.  Kodak point and shoot cameras were all I had at first. Then, in 1980, I got my first 35 mm slr camera and began to really practice the art of photography.

 When I moved to Madison, Indiana, I discovered so much to explore with my camera. In the 1990s I put together for sale a set of note cards featuring scenes around town.  As I continued to explore the art and showed my work to friends, they asked me to photograph them and their families, and eventually I was asked to photograph weddings.

Nice Shots! Photography officially became a business in 1998, and I had a small studio on Mulberry Street.  In 2009 we purchased our current studio and gallery location at 131 East Main Street in downtown Madison.  I have donated my talents to raise funds for Girls, Inc. of Jefferson County, donated pieces for fund raising auctions to benefit CASA of Jefferson County and the Madison River Walk. I am an affiliate photographer, since 2011, with Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.
